So my customer avatar is obviously someone who wears glasses. Ideally, they would be middle-aged adults with families. Female, so they care about the aesthetic of their product and I imagine a soccer mom running around in a silver minivan to every after-school activity known to man. They would get frustrated by anything they have to do for themselves or anything that slows them down because they have to do everything for everyone. Their own personal hobbies separate from their families, are tennis, yoga and joining a book club, (cliche, I know but it's true). Most days they feel like their children couldn't grow up fast enough but then they get sad and never want this stage of their life to end. They cry a lot but never in front of anyone. But lots of times they are happy tears about some accomplishment their children just did because they love them with their whole heart. I have created a visual representation of my avatar below.
As far as what I have in common with the avatar there is not much aside from being female and wearing glasses. I also do tend to not cry in front of people because I just don't like too. And I also don't want to grow up out of the stage of life I am currently in. I don't think it is a coincidence we have things in common considering I made this product out of a need for myself.
Hi Rebeca,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your post. I think you did a great job of identifying your ideal customer. You went into great detail and provided a lot of information about a person who wears glasses, especially a mom. I also really liked how you made a custom avatar and found a picture of a mom and family to further your description of your ideal customer. Great job!
Hi Rebeca,
ReplyDeleteI think your avatar represents who would most likely buy your product very well. I definitely could imagine a soccer mom running around in a silver minivan to every after-school activity and I could also imagine her running up and down the side lines cheering her kids on, which is where the product will definitely come in handy.
Hello Rebeca,
ReplyDeleteI think that you did a great job creating your avatar and giving a thorough description of your target market. You were able to find a solution to a problem that you had, but you were also able to find a market that shared that problem. Proper identification of these target areas will allow you to successfully launch this venture. I think that the picture that you included was fitting of that demographic. Good job.
Hi Rebecca!
ReplyDeleteI loved reading this post about what your custom avatar is like. You did a really good job describing this prospective client and some of their characteristics. Specifically, your focus on the mom who would purchase these for her children was well thought out. I also thought your comments on commonalities were a good reflection of your understanding of the need for this product and the opportunity for its success. Great post!
